The Daddies latest ALL SWING record! Great for dancing... but so much more. We wanted to touch on some sub-genres within Swing that we had hinted at previously: Classic 40's Big Band Boogie-Woogie, 20's style Hot Jazz, Ragtime, New Orleans 2nd Line, Slapbass Rockabilly, and naughty 50's Bump and Grind. As usual we wanted to Swing but MAKE IT NEW and very 2024. At The Pink Rat tells bits and pieces of the jukebox musical that Steve has had in his head for many years. For instance, Kings of Swing was a sketch for an opening number that would give background and set the stage for a very personal artistic journey. Imagine John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever except Swing and set during the mid 80's in the heyday of Punk. We trace that weird connection between the Greatest Generation and Gen X that brought about the Swing explosion of the 90’s. Remember FUN?!!!!!
